W&H Barraud Horse Hunting Engraving

This is one of two authentic, original hand-colored engraved prints by William & Henry Barraud which we currently have for sale. This print is entitled " Charles Davis on The Traverser " and dates from circa 1840-1850. Beneath the title it reads " To The R. Hon. the Earl of Befsborough ". The Barraud brothers are known for their collaboration on numerous horse and hunting themed paintings and prints. The engraver of this print was Edward Hacker. Colors are vibrant and overall print condition is very good. Frame measures 27" x 23 7/8" x 5/8" and actual print measures approximately 23 3/4" x 20 1/2".
