On the front it has a number OC-H1472 This is a nice linen postcard of The Sea Gull Monument at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah On the back it reads in part, this was erected in commemoration of the miraculous delivery of the Mormon pioneers from starvation. In the early summer of 1848 their first wheat crop was threatened with destruction by hordes of crickets. After all normal measures had failed, the Saints offered the prayers for their deliverance.
