This Swedish Antique Birch Commode/Chest of Drawers, circa 1875, encompasses a streamlined appearance with sleek, uncluttered, clean lines. Constructed out of solid pine with beautiful birch veneers, the commode has ovolo corners that blend effortlessly into the slender columns positioned on the front edges that morph into larger columned legs resting majestically on incised bun feet. The commode has the original decorative cast brass handles, original handle fasteners, original locks, lovely original cast brass embellished key escutcheons, hand dovetailed drawers, chamfered drawer bottoms, and a chamfered back panel. The Swedish Antique Birch Commode/Chest of Drawers measures, 34.50 inches H X 42.50 inches W X 22.00 inches D, and is in the original finish with appropriate wear for its age.
