Louis Russomanno is a self-trained artist who has mastered the trompe l' oeil technique of painting. His technical proficiency, use of light, and his ability to capture the textural quality of the elements he paints, produces exquisite results. Russomanno's still lifes are created in his studio and are worked on slowly, taking time in delineating the texture and shape of each object with incredible precision. His works are part of the permanent collectionof the New Jersey State Museum and numerous private collections throughout the United States and Canada.

His most recent award is the "Award for Still Life in Memory of Dorothy S. and David K. Tally" from the 2003 Phillip's Mill Art Exhibition in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
