Leach Saw Set Pliers Patented 1869

This is a very early patented saw tooth setter marked "S.F. LEACH & CO. SOLE MANUF'RS BOSTON MASS. PAT. JAN. 19, 1869" on the adjustable brass guide that is mounted to the top of the saw set. This tool is in good working condition with some minor pitting, but in fully functional condition. They are 7" long overall, and the spring loaded handle is still working after over 100 years. An unusual design with a triangular shape tooth setting bar that pivots from a center pin when the handles are brought together. Truly a unique saw set, of which I see very few of. Particularly rare with the 1869 patent date marked on it!
