Art Deco Deep Purple Diamond Antique Stained Glass Window

Unavailable
This vibrant Art Deco Deep Purple Diamond Antique Stained Glass Window has the fusion of geometric patterns and the sleek, bold designs so characteristic of the Art Deco period. From the crescent shaped dark orange and luminous lime green stylized pendant to the deep purple diamonds that straddle this design, the vibrant combination of hues and patterns imbue the form and style so typical of the 1930’s. The pattern is bold and quite unusual, merging geometric form and function throughout to create this distinctive design. An added bonus is that the pattern can hang in either direction. Hang it upside down and it looks like a green floral bud sprouting out of an orange geometric stem. The heavily textured glass that is used throughout is quite fabulous and allows plenty of light to shine through while still maintaining a sense of privacy. The glass just glistens! The Art Deco Deep Purple Diamond Antique Stained Glass Window is in its original wooden frame and measures vertically approximately, 17.00” H X 18.50” W X 01.75” D, including the frame.

This piece of architectural art is a by- product of urban renewal in Great Britain. Older buildings are being demolished or restored so the magnificent windows that once graced these homes are either being removed or replaced with newer more energy efficient windows. This vintage glass piece is in pristine condition, void of any chips or cracks, hand leaded with the lead complete, structurally sound, including the original wooden frame.
