Antique Oriental Wooden and Painted Silk Lantern

This antique lantern is crafted from painted and gilded wood and features hand-painted silk panels depicting exotic birds, and white porcelain finials. It suspends from a tole metal ceiling plate via twisted red cord. All surfaces appear to be original and there are no signs of restoration. There are tears to each of the silk panels. There is no lamp hardware or wiring, but we may add prior to shipment. This fixture resides with our client in New York City and may be seen in person by appointment.
