1940's Wooden oriental style Vase holder. Made in Hong Kong, this is a carved wooden and stained dark almost black. I am not sure of the age, but it is 1950 or earlier. It is not a new reproduction. These were really popular in the 1920 era and could be from that period as it is hard to date these as they made them over such a long period of time. It has about a 1/4"" lip to keep vase from sliding. You will see them with expensive Glass vases or pottery ones. This is short 4 footed and will hold a relatively heavy vase with a bottom of 5 3/4"" or less. It is 7 1/2"" x 2"" tall. Mint condition.
