One of six in one of my favorite of all English tile series, "Classical Musicians in an Orange Grove", from Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, c. 1878. This is an outline block-printed blue on white example of a young woman playing a recorder to a seated youth. The tile is in very good condition with several small nicks at upper left corner area and another to right edge midway down the tile; there is an area of surface roughness above the youth's shoulder.
