Rare, bird study tile transfer-printed in brown on an ivory clay body with a wonderful aesthetic design border, hand-painted in eight colors, from Minton Hollins, c. 1880. I think the grasses growing out of the lower right border into the space of the tile is really inventive and and fun. The tile is in excellent condition with a shallow left edge flake in the gold border 1/3 up from the bottom and several tiny edge nibbles as shown. Please write with any questions you may have.
