Victorian Trade Cards Clarks Thread Boy Holding Spool 1800. This is a nice color Victorian Trade Card for John Clark Jar & Cox's Mile End Spool Cotton. Done in lovely shades of blue, red with a beige background. Shows two young boys playing with spools of thread. One boy has lifted a spool high in the air and the other is rolling a spool with his foot. He has a ring around his neck resembling the hoola hoop. On the back is a calendar of the months January through June. At the bottom it reads, Thomas Russell & Co., Sole Agents. New York. This card came from a scrap book dated 1880. In excellent condition. Measures 2"" wide by 3 1/4"" tall.
