Offering this rare 1920's electric massage vibrator with it's original box and removeable accessories! The vibrator is marked with a maker's steel label, it is marked "THE STAR ELECTRIC VIBRATOR ALERNATING CURRENT 110 VOLTS PATENT NO. 1,327,466 FITZGERALD MFG. CO. TORRINGTON CONN. U.S.A." on it. The body, excluding the handle is a nickel plated metal construction, about 3" diameter, with about 98% of the nickel plating intact, shiney, bright and clean. The handle is most likely hardwood, black painted, in very good shape, no wear. The old braded cord and plug is in very good shape, it is the original plug as it is marked STAR on it. It could use a face cover as the original is gone missing, just a piece of cardboard like material to cover the area wear the prongs are connected to the cord wires. The unit works very well, seems to be adjustable via a knurled adjuster on the back face area. There is 3 detachable tips included in the set, two are softer rubber, one a hard rubber. The other accessory is an adapter so one can use electric power form a lamp socket, it works also. Back in the 1920's most homes had a lack of electic plugs, so this was provided to make it easy to plug into something nearby. The adapter is also original, marked "FITZ-E-Z" on the face. The box is solid, the label is about 99% intact, has some light staining, but readable. Three of the corners on the top section of the box have been taped useing achieval tape, and two corner bottom edges of the bottom have cloth tape on them. The inside of the box has some black paper covering flaking off, but otherwise sturdy enough to hold the weight of the vibrator set. This is one of the most rare household appliances from the 1920's today, considered very rare, and very near museum quality!
