Cartoon By P Webb Playing Checkers 1949. This is a February 1949 black and white hillbilly cartoon by P Webb. Checker game is set up on the table. Two of the men are sitting opposite each other at the table, two others are standing and looking at the checker board. Maw has just walked inside with a lady guest and the caption reads, None of them understands the game, they just like to appear powerful busy when company comes in. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall.
