A wonderful tile from my favorite American arts & crafts tile maker, Wheatley Pottery, Cincinnati, OH, c. 1910-1925. The quiet basket of flowers with elegant green filler is finished in Wheatley's wonderful curdled glazes in 7-8 soft matte colors. The tile is incised with pattern no. "1050" on the reverse. The back has a slight corner nick which corresponds to the the upper left corner of the tile but does not go through; there is a very slight lower left corner nick, mainly on the edge and similar-sized ones at top edge near left and right edge 1/3 up from bottom. Tile is in otherwise excellent condition. Please also write with any other questions you may have.
