Warehouse find! Originally from a shop in San Diego that sold souvenirs to the military. In storage for about 70 years. In a satiny fabric w/fringe on all 4 sides. Hand-painted roses on 2 corners. There is a poem: "Sweetheart I thought that you would like to know That someone's thoughts go where you go, That someone never can forget The hours we spent since first we met, That life is richer, sweeter far For such a sweetheart as you are. And now my constant prayer will be That God may keep you safe for me." The Army insignia is in the corner. Brilliant colors. Some brownish storage stain is seen on the back as in the photo. The back is open on one side for insertion of batting or pillow form.
