This is a very nice used 1" wide tanged, out-channel gouge chisel marked "WITHERBY" in very light lettering on the steel. It is sharp and ready to use, no rust or pitting, straight. The handle is the hardwood type with the brass ferrule, very solid, and nice finish. It is 12" long overall. A nice quality made chisel! This is a tool believed to be made by Witherby Tool Co. in Millbury MA U.S.A. in the mid-late 1800 era.
