WILCOX SILVER PLATE 6 CRUET CASTOR SET W/ SERVANTS BELL

Unavailable
Most of us have no servants to ring for service, but who cares with this exceptional six bottle Victorian castor set by Wilcox Silver Company of Meriden Connecticut. They became part of the International Silver Co.. The original quadruple plate frame is marked with their trademark " Wilcox Silver Company ", and the numbers "0519" on the base (see picture). The carousel turns freely. The servants bell rings daintily, and all bottles and stoppers match. There are two of the stoppers with chips at there base and one cruet has a slight chip by the lip, there are no cracks or other imperfections in the bottles. This is a very original set with original base. Very rare set! The plate is still in serviceable condition but is a bit dull. All bottles are etched and cut in the same design (see picture of pattern). The dimensions of the frame are 16" tall, and 7 1/8" in diameter. The dimensions of the tallest bottle with stopper are 9" tall, and 2 1/4" in diameter at the widest point. This would make an exquisite centerpiece for any elegant dining room!
