For Sale is a wonderful piece of pottery made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. It is a Vase in the ever popular Woodcraft line. I have also seen it listed under the Flemish line as well.
The Vase depicts a tree branch of a Tree in Full Bloom with Flowers. These Flowers appear to be "Wild Roses". There are Earth Tones of Brown and Green on the Trunk of the Tree. The Flowers are painted in a Deep Fuchsia to Deep Rose with Brown to Green Flower Centers. These are set against a blended Earth Tone Backgound of Caramel to Green.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be Vintage Weller. There is an "l" in freehand Black Ink which I believe was the finishers mark.
The piece is made Circa 1920-1933.
This is a very versatile piece that will work with almost any decor as the Woodcraft line was a very extensive line in its day. It focused on Nature at its best whether it be Animals, Flowers or Fruits.
