Wave Crest is a premium line of hand painted opal ware patented in 1892 by the C.F. Monroe Company of Meriden, Connecticut. The glass is very distinctive and the floral decoration is hand painted. EXCEPTIONAL detail and color with no wear or damage. Overall size is about 24" high from the bottom of the font to the upper rim of the lamp shade. Shade is 13 3/4" diameter at the bottom, the tank insert measures 5 1/4" diameter x 3 7/8" deep. Glass is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines.. frame has no repairs or damage. Retractible pulley system to allow user to lower lamp to refill the oil font.
