Here's an early advertising medicinal item- Wakefield's Vegetable Liver Pills. It is unopened and is a wooden container with a paper label. The label says it is at the Patent Offices in Washington and approved June 18, 1874. Says the pills are for "liver complaint, headache, bilious and torid contifions, etc." Sounds like it's a quack medicine. If you are a collector of early advertising medicines, thsi is different.
