Here is another beautiful doll from Nancy’s Dolls & Antiques. This is called a Toddles and was made by the Vogue Doll Co in the 1940’s and was the precursor to the later Ginny doll of the 1950’s also made by Vogue. This one is all composition on a 5 pc jointed , strung body. This doll is called Binky. She has side painted eyes and eyelashes and soft red lips with brown eyebrows. Her face paint is very good with light pink cheeks also. There is a lifting of the composition on her left side seam under her blonde hair which is mohair and nice and thick in a flip style. The rest of her composition is nice. She is marked Vogue on her neck and Doll Co. on her back. She is wearing her original yellow knit long sleeve top with a little dog appliqué on it. Her matching skirt has the attached panties also knit. The best part is that her skirt still has the original Gold Foil Vogue sticker still attached to it. A very rare tag to find. She has the yellow knit hat as well. And lastly she has on the original yellow –gold oilcloth center snap shoes, right snap is detached and her white rayon socks. The stringing is fine and she can stand on her own. There are no stains or odors. The Toddles dolls rarely come in this great condition with all of the pieces of the outfit in such nice shape. Look for her mate Bunky (exact match) in a separate sale and my other Toddles dolls, Hansel and Little Red Riding Hood.
