Now you can carry on a tradition from the 1800s that will really add to your wardrobe as well as your jewelry collection. This is a vintage Victorian chatelaine that would have been worn on a dress ( see top photo) and inside would have been its favorite oil or scent. This is one of the prettiest ones I have seen and it has tiny turquoise stones on the top brooch set in a raised relief platform. Enamel is set into the recesses of it to add to create depth. The chains hold this pretty vessel fob and it has a metal dauber inside. The brooch is 3 ½" long and 2" wide and has very little if any wear. This looks like it has a smaller container inside the fob because you can see thru the sides on the bottom. Maybe it was made to act as a vinaigrette? IT is quite lovely and has the fleur de lis on each side of the top.Since this is an Irreplaceable work of art there can be no returns on this sale.
