VIntage Taj Mahal purse hand embroidered in golden thread Persian clutch

$195.00
Quantity available: 1

This purse carries the image of one of the wonders of the world, the great Taj Mahal. Built in memory of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan beloved wife, it is one of the mot breathtaking monuments you will ever see. Folklore has it that the Shah ordered his general to cut off the hands of all the artists that worked on this building.

This velvet purse is silk lined and has the Taj Mahal on both sides, one in silver and one it golden thread. The detail on this is absolutely amazing. THe purse measures 8" x 5 1/2" and is in good condition. The silver side has a few worn places on the threads as you can see in the photo. It is more like a work of art than a purse. VERY beautiful!
