This is a nice, clean antique 1/4" wide socket firmer chisel not marked by the maker. The steel is in very good condition, no rust, or pitted, sharp cutting edge, ready to use. This chisel has a unique handle design with both the socket fit, and the brass ferrule there to give additional strength. The handle is solid, fits really well, and has a good leather cap at the end, with only very minor wear. The hardwood on the handle is in great shape, nicely fitted, not cracked. The chisel is 10.1" long overall. A nice quality steel, seems to hold a good sharp edge.
