Rare vintage Soviet Russian Silvertone Tea Glass Holder with enameled scene of penquins around the outside of the holder. The enamel is in light blue and there are 11 penquins and snow featured on this piece Measures 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 31/2 inches across including the handle, glass size is 2 3/4 inches across. Authentic Russian podstakannik (meaning "under the glass") or tea glass holder. Made to hold a hot glass of tea and protect the hands from burns. The bottom has Russian makers marks (photo).
