Vintage Lusterware Pottery Pitcher,
Copper & Blue Floral
Luster wear was designed to glow in candlelight and allow the light to move as the candle burned, decorated Lusterware became popular in the 19th century, gaslights accented the reflective brilliance creating lovely centerpieces; cobalt blue was added to enhance the pieces during the day.
This elegant piece has a copper base with cobalt blue floral design. It is unsigned appears to be from the Victorian Era and English.
Condition: Very Good, for the age of the piece well cared for. Free of any chips, cracks or repairs. Please see photo, these pieces are so brilliant photographing is a bit challenging , only in person can you see the true beauty of these pieces.
