Vintage Handpainted Oriental Ginger Jar Lamp

Unavailable
Very well-crafted small, vintage, handpainted Oriental ginger jar lamp, on black wood pedestal base, with original silk lampshade and brass finial. The glazed ceramic ginger jar is white with black, red, green, blue and deep rose floral decoration and gilt accents. The lamp measures about 17 3/4 inches high, including the finial; the shade is about 8 1/4 inches in diameter at the bottom. The lamp's origin is unknown. It was purchased at an estate sale which featured many fine items from around the world. The lamp comes with an unusually shaped flame bulb which was made in Japan. The lamp is in very good condition. The ginger jar base has no chips or cracks, and minimal surface wear. The painting is detailed, the colors are vivid, and fine artistry is apparent. The black-painted wood base has a soft, subtle sheen, with light surface wear, and a felt-covered bottom. The ivory silk shade is very clean. There is a small three corner tear in the interior lining of the shade, which is shown in one of the photographs. The lamp has the original 92 inch cord, with a switch on the cord and a non-polarized plug. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging will be $15.00.
