Vintage Edwardian GARNET necklace & bracelet Peking glass baroque bib drop demi parure

Vintage Edwardian GARNET necklace & bracelet.The quality of this lovely Necklace and bracelet is amazing and the genuine garnets in it with the peking glass really brings out the rich hue of the golden patina. This is a heavy and well made demi parure and looks as if it has been well loved and cared for. The necklace has a wonderful mesh chain with raised metal work near the end. The length around the neck will go up to 17” and the ornate large center piece is 3” wide. The hangers that hold it have glass red garnet color cabochons on them that go with the genuine garnets in the center. Offset with pearls the large center peking glass cabachon is fabulous! The bracelet is made in three pieces and it has the genuine garnets, the jade, peking glass and pearls. It is 7"” long and 1 1/3”" wide. If you are familiar with the golden color that antique ormolu presents, then notice that this has the same rich hue. You won’t see this reproduced in the newer age. The set has raised relief nouveau flowers on the bracelet and the center piece of the necklace which gives it that aesthetic look. A remarkable set that needs a remarkable woman to wear it!   Vintage and antique items are not mint nor are they perfect.
