Vintage Black Cloth Doll Anatomically Realistic
She has a lovely face embroidered on a satiny black fabric. Her turban style hat is of a satiny fabric as well. Her necklace is of old plastic beads from the 50's. There is an addition of a plastic hand charm that could have been added later. The blouse is of old cotton crocheted lace. The skirt is of a crisp crinoline type fabric. She is wearing a two cotton petticoats underneath. One of petticoats has crocheted lace at the bottom border. The other has a dual layer of rickrack trim. Her sewn on shoes are of satin with stiff lace and the soles are of a burlap like weave fabric that is meant to look like leather soles.
Her body is made of a sturdy black cotton fabric. I don't know what she is filled with. She has realistic body contours that include her legs, knee caps, buttocks, pelvis, bust, beasts, elbows, hands and fingers. She even has fingernails that are painted pink!
The condition of the doll is excellent. The clothes she is wearing have a few stains and age spots.
I bought her from a avid doll collector who purchased her from a doll show many years ago.
