Vintage / antique New Guinea carved wooden crocodile mask, measuring a bit more than 22 inches high, 8 inches wide, 2.75 inches deep, and weighing about 3 pounds. This artifact was part of a New Guinea collection given to Andre Bus, prominent designer for Lane Furniture, in the 1950's. It is likely from from the Murik Lakes region, Coastal Sepik River Area, possibly Kaian Village. These are commonly called 'Brag' Masks.
