Vintage, mid-century, handmade Alfred E. Knobler Viking hostess coasters, round covered box, and snack trays, with bird and floral design. These lovely vintage serving pieces appear to hand crafted and hand painted molded papier-mache. There are eight 4.25 inch coasters which store in a covered box measuring approximately 2 inches high and 4.75 inches in diameter. The coasters are stamped ALCOHOL PROOF JAPAN. There are 4 snack / dessert trays measuring approximately 8.5 inches by 4.25 inches; they each have a foil label which says VIKING HAND MADE, MADE IN JAPAN and are stamped ALCOHOL PROOF. One tray is also stamped ALFRED E. KNOBLER & CO., ALCOHOL PROOF, JAPAN. All pieces are in very good condition, with no damage; there are minor signs of wear.
