A nice pair of late Victorian cufflinks in 14K yellow gold by Larter. The faces are carved in a concave round shape from mother of pearl and are centered with small old round cut diamonds bead-set in gold squares. The carved faces make nice use of the contrasting matte finish around the edges and the iridescent surface in the middle of the rounds. The small 1-point diamonds add a nice bit of understated sparkle. The faces are joined by solid curved connectors to bean backs. The connectors are marked with Larters 14K hallmark. Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, no dings. Size: 17/32 (13.5mm) diameter. Weight: 5.0 grams.
