Despite its massive appearance, this gold lapel watch is surprisingly light. The repousse gold face of finely detailed stylized leaves and grapes is mounted on a silver back that incorporates a eye-hook for attaching a small watch. Hard to see is a small crack on the righthand side. American or Continental, late Nineteenth Century.
