Very Rare Antique Bisque Weight Lifter Figural Nodder
VERY RARE and wonderful, Germany 1900 Weight Lifter Bisque Nodder. This fellow is usually only seen in books. From a squatting position the gentleman wrestler is straining to hoist those barebells and the persperation is running down his forehead and cheeks. Pastel painted and fired bisque. The head piece, measuring 4 inches long is pinned to serve as the axis for the nodder and is on a separate piece of fired bisque. The colors and condition are incredible for a piece of this age. It is signed on the bottom, but there is no makers mark to be found. This piece is so seldom found in this outstanding condition, however, there is a surface crack in the painted area of the white flowered vest, but it goes no deeper than the paint. I see no further problems at all with this German weight lifter nodder. Thanks for taking a closer look at this lovely Piece of the Past.
