This is a good, used, 10.5 inch long pliers marked with the antique 3 diamonds logo on both inside handle area. This is not a No. 1000 Utica, but it is most likely an earlier version of the No. 1000. The last picture show this pliers next to the No. 1000-10 I also have for sale. Note this one has no slot just behind the jaws which on the No. 1000 allow for wire to pass through and be cut or held in the jaw to pull or twist the wire if need be. There is no model number on this pliers, so I am assuming these pliers were early in Utica's patents and production. The three diamond logo is very small but intentionally on both inside handle, and is so similar to the later No. 1000, I assume it was a Utica when I first saw it even though I didn't at first see the logos. These pliers most likely date back to around 1895 when Utica first opened for manufacturing. The jaws, and both wire cutting sections are in good shape. As you can see in the pictures, there is some minor pitting on the outside of the jaws mostly, the inside jaw grips, and cutters are in very good shape overall. No damage, no cracks, no rust. A quality made used pliers by a well known tool maker!
