2005 Oregon Collector's Spoon
Introducing the US Mints Spoon Collection
Collector's spoons have long been a popular way to remember a vacation or other significant locations. Now you can commemorate your special state with a 50 State Quarters® Collector's Spoon. The Oregon Collector's Spoon is 4 ½ inches long, with the Oregon commemorative quarter-dollar mounted at the top and "OREGON" spelled out in block lettering down the stem.
The Oregon design features a portion of Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States, viewed from the south-southwest rim. The design incorporates Wizard Island, as well as Watchman and Hillman Peaks on the lake's rim and conifers. The Oregon quarter, the third quarter to be released in 2005 and the 33rd in the 50 State Quarters Program, bears the inscriptions "Oregon,' "Crater Lake" and "1859".
