Unusual vintage / primitive green-painted handmade wooden case. The purpose of this case, which has a handle and a clasp that is made to accomodate a padlock, is unknown. Perhaps it was used to store and transport a rifle, or a favorite saw, or ????? This piece makes quite a conversation item. It could be used as a primitive green accent piece, added to a collection of unusual boxes, or used as a stand to display other items. This handmade case is in good condition, very solid and well-built from 1/2 inch plywood. There are some small areas of paint loss, as well as a smattering of an orange hardened substance, giving it a primitive look. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition.
