Extremely Rare Turkish 17-18th century Ottoman Janissary turban ornament Celeng made of silver. In the time when the Ottomans had not adopted European type orders and medals for bravery they had their own military symbols one of these symbols is the famous Celeng, a round disc made of metal with three or more protruding prongs mounted on the front of the Janissary turban as a visible sign of bravery.
