Beautifully engraved certificate from the Transit Investment Corporation issued in 1938-1943. This historic document was printed by the Security Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of two allegorical women (one bare breasted) flanking the company's logo. This item has the printed signatures of the companys vice-president and treasurer and is over 57 years old. Prior to 1938 the company's name was Mitten Bank Securities Corporation.
