Trail of Painted Ponies Horsefeathers Horse Figurine 1E/3421 First 1st Edition
This awesome limited edition piece was made in 2005 by artist, Jeanne Selby and distributed by Westland Giftware.... These figurines bring together both the creativeness of the artist and the beloved image of the horse to produce a very popular and highly collectible piece of art.
This figurine is black with multi-colored feathers and is made of resin.... It stands 5 7/8" tall and is 7 1/4" long and 2 1/2" wide.
Native American and Southwest artists have created these magnificent works of art. Nobody seems to know the derivation of the term "Horsefeathers." The most likely explanation is that it began as the sanitized variant of "horse hooey," used to express that something is unlikely , about as improbable as that pigs can fly - or that horses should have feathers. By adorning her pony with large multi-colored feathers , this former art teacher is from Texas, Jeanne Selby, has given the term a totally new form of expression. Horsefeathers is numbered 1E/3421.
Figurine is brand new in original box with original packing material & hang tag. Opened only to inspect edition number. Never used or displayed, opened only to inspect.
