Tiny stitched crochet doily. This is one of the finest examples of crochet work I have seen. It looks tatted, but under a magnifying glass you can see the small intricate stitches of this coaster type doily. It has been tea dyed and some spots that are a little darker than others, but the condition is still mint condition. It is at least 1930, but would guess earlier than this. The thread is a real fine, almost finer than sewing thread. Picture will be magnified for stitch detail, not actual size. 5 1/4""
