Thomas Webb Urns

Unavailable
Fabulous very large matched pair of Burmese glass urns by Thomas Webb and Sons, England. They have fancy brass tops and bottoms with open work handles. (Three of the handles have old professional repairs – only noticeable if you look closely). The satin burmese glass flows from a light cream/pink base to a very rich pink at the top. It has a gilt enamel hand done floral decoration on the front and smaller design on the back. The petals and leaves have been colored in with a deeper burgundy. The urns have registry marks on the base (see photo). An explanation of Webb’s Burmese glass can be seen towards the end of this link: http://www.glassencyclopedia.com/thomaswebbglass.html. These are one of the largest and most impressive examples of Webb’s work we have seen! Circa: 1880. Dimensions: 23″H x 12″W x 8″D. Condition: Glass and decoration is in excellent condition. There are several early repairs to three of the handles. Price: $4250.00 for the pair.
