Fitz Hugh Lane was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts in 1805 and died in Gloucester in 1865. He specialized in Maritime art. This Print was copied from the Original Painting copyrighted in 1974 by Samuel L, Lowe, Jr. Antiques, Inc. This is directly from the Original Painting by Fitz Hugh Lane in their possession. framed Professionally under glass. The frame measures 39" X 31 1/2". It has a remarque of the original painting on the lower left and the signature of the artist, Fitz H. Lane on the lower right. Also on additional images which we can email upon request, The yacht is noted in script on left: Designed by George Steers. Built by William H. Brown, New York. Sails were made by R.H. Wilson, New York. Noted in script on right is length 101 feet, 9inches. Breadth 23 feet. Draft 11 feet. Very Good Condition.
