Teapot Mottoware Longpark Torquay

Unavailable
Beautifully decorated and glazed, this Torquay teapot gives the advice, "Dawntee be fraid aut now." The teapot measures almost 5" high and 8" across at the widest points. The colors are so vivid against the cream background and contrasted to the chocolate brown of the handle, spout, and lid. There is a small chip in the rim just above the word, "now". You will notice a spot at the place on the photo, but that is a larger reflection. A tiny bit of matching brown would take care of the chip very nicely. Otherwise, the teapot is in very good condition. The strip you see in the photo going from the rim to the top of the lid is tape that is securing the lid to the pot for safety sake while displayed in the shop. This is a beautiful example of Torquay pottery.
