To a part English tea service made in Staffordshire. This pottery set is numbered pattern 797. Some cups are also marked with a circled "R" for the maker William Ratcliffe who worked briefly from 1831 to 1840. The decoration is in good condition retaining some of the original gilt which was applied during the last firing. Some pieces have repairs, but overall this set is a rare and colorful survival.
