Striking Ship Wall Pocket

Unavailable
Ship wall pockets are relatively hard pockets to find and to find one with its life preserver/anchor is even rarer. The colors on this pocket are mostly a soft pastel. The blue water, yellow & green divided sky make a lovely picture. The ship has at least 3 tall masts with peach and brown highlights. The bisque hanging anchor weight is attached to the back much like the weights on a clock wall pocket. It may have had two weights at one time, but the two ship wall pockets I have listed only have one each and look very natural to me. The back has the impressed mark in the ceramic with a set of Japanese characters and 64211 Japan. The stamped red letters beside it gives the same Pat. No. 64211 and MADE IN JAPAN. I have been told you can find the date by the Pat. No., but I am not sure how to look this up. The condition is very good with no chips, cracks or defects. It does have some of the misses in glaze and rough grains that are common in this period with Japanese ceramics.

Look at my inventory of other wall pockets. This item will be shipped from Texas. It can be combined with other items shipped from Texas to save on postage.
