Stickley  or Horner Style Parlor Settee  Rocking  and Accent Chair Griffin Heads

This incredibly beautiful set consists of a 3 pc. carved solid wood Victorian Settee and matching His chair and Her Rocker. Exquisite craftsmanship describes the details. The backs on all three pieces are carved into matching griffins facing each other with an oval medallion in the center. The arms are carved and the front feet are lion's feet

The exact wood is unknown but appears to be cherry or mahogany. This may be one of the stickley sets that were made in the late 1800's early 1900's not signed.

 

This is truly another exquisite set from our collection and a new favorite.

Condition: Very Good for the age, there is a repair in the middle of the back of settee some wear see close ups

There is one OLD repair on the rocking chair mid-way down the back missing little veneer, some scratches and marks on the rocker and seats and channels  on claw feet and some typical nicks in the wood, and chips from age and use ..

 

MEASUREMENTS: Settee: 45.5" long x 18" wide x 40" tall to the center of each camelbacks and 35" tall to the top of the middle centerpiece. Seat depth: 19"; Floor to seat: 17"
