This piece measures 6" long. The weight of this piece is .51 ozt. Goodoletom, the place where "Rarity is Common" is pleased to offer this handsome piece of sterling silver flatware from Wallace Silversmiths of Wallingford CT. It is an elegant relish spoon. The Wallace Silversmiths, Inc. was orignally founded by Robert Wallace, the scion of enterprising Scottish immigrants, in an old grist mill to making spoons under the name R. WALLACE & CO. The company continued and prospered and continued to operate, under various owners in Wallingford until 1986. Meriden and its neighboring town of Wallingford were famed for being the home to the finest New England silversmiths for centuries. This highly collectible piece is in excellent condition with only the light surface scratches that are to be expected of vintage silver. The relish spoon is stamped with the Wallace company logo of RW & S, a deer head, and STERLING. It measures 6 inches long, 1 inch wide and weighs about 16 grams.
