Offering this nice clean, vintage 4.7" long steel plumb bob, marked "THE L.S. STARRETT CO. ATHOL MASS. NO. 177 PAT. OCT. 6. 1906".  The end cap is removeable and had good threads and a good snug fit.   It is in good condition with about 65% of the original nickel plating intact, good threaded cap, and string storage spool, the point is pretty sharp, as shown in the pictures.. A nice clean example of a early 1900's patented tool design!
