Stanley No. 605 BedRock Jack Plane Type 4

Unavailable

Offering this nice clean Bedrock 14" long Jack plane marked "NO. 605 PAT'D APR.2.95" on the bed in raised cast lettering. The near full length cutter has the "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO. NEW BRITAIN CONN. U.S.A." logo on it and is marked "STANLEY" on the cap cover. This plane version should have a cap cover marked BEDROCK on it according to the old catalogs, price adjusted accordingly. The cap cover that is one it works just fine. A nice clean plane in good++ condition with about 85% of it's original Japanning intact, nice rosewood front knob, solid a few dings, much of the original varnish intact. The tote handle is also rosewood in very solid condition with wear, a some dings and scratches, no cracks or repairs. A nice sharp cutter ready to use. We do note some scratches on the bottom, not very deep, but about 5" long on average, doesn't effect use of the plane. No cracks on the cast iron a few tiny edge dings, very minor wear overall. A nice clean top quality BEDROCK Jack plane!
